By Michael Comeau

**Editor’s Note**: We have a guest writer and friend of Disney Avenue here today to tell us about a wonderful project he and his wife have put together and need our support. It’s free to do so and a great way for our community to come together and help out fellow Disney fans. And now here’s Michael…

If you are a fan of Disney’s Pinocchio and LEGO, then you will be happy to learn that my wife and I have submitted a project to LEGO Ideas for a working Pinocchio Marionette with a Jiminy Cricket minifigure. What is LEGO Ideas you ask? It’s an official LEGO site that allows LEGO fans to submit their own ideas on potential future LEGO sets. If the project reaches 10,000 supporters, LEGO will review it. Supporting a project is free and only requires creating a login. If LEGO approves the project, it is sold in retail stores and online with the credit for the idea going to the creator(s) in a special instruction book. LEGO ideas projects also get special packaging. Continue after the page break for more on our project…

2015 marks the 75 year anniversary of “Pinocchio“ and we are celebrating it with this project. This movie is one of our all time favorites with some of our favorite Disney characters. My wife and I also have a love for puppets and marionettes and hope you are as excited as we are about the potential for a “Pinocchio” marionette LEGO set.

The photos you see throughout this article are some examples of the potential product. Keep in mind that if the project passes the review phase, LEGO designs the final model according to their high quality standards.

Here is a video showcasing the working prototype. Remember, this is just a prototype so the colors are not correct and in place of stings, there are chains:

Let us know what you think of the project and support it here. Again, it is free to support! Feel free to post our project on any other online outlet you can think of to reach new supporters! Thank you very much for helping make this fun project into a reality! Sincerely,
